  • How do I get started with part-time programming?

    We offer local insertion in some markets for part-time programmers. These programmers are only purchasing a few hours or less each week.  To get started, please fill out the form on this website. Content is delivered via file transfer as a pre-formatted file.

  • How do I get started full time with Leased Access?

    You can request to purchase a full time channel that you will program 24/7.  To learn more, please fill out the form on this website. Full time programmers will be responsible for content delivery that is compatible with Comcast engineering standards.

  • What happens after I use the form to request information?

    After you fill out the form on this site to request more information, you will receive details about what is required to air with Comcast Local Programming and what you need to do to move forward.

    The first step will be to obtain your Certificate of Insurance. The requirements for insurance are summarized in the Summary of Insurance Requirements document you receive with your initial packet.

  • How long should my video be?

    This depends on the time period you have paid for. If you've paid for only 30 minutes of time in one block, your program should be no longer than 30 minutes.  If your program is less then 30 minutes, we may fill out the time period with channel promotions or commercials.

    Time periods are not sold in increments less than thirty minutes.

  • Can I cancel at any time?

    We require 30 days in writing via e-mail or regular mail for cancellation.

  • Will my program title appear in TV Guide listings?

    Sometimes, depending on the market you air in. If the service is available, you can submit program names and descriptions for the on-screen TV guide. Changes can take up to two weeks to take effect.  Please email your show name and description to your sales representative. We do not update episodic descriptions. We do not guarantee listings.

  • What kind of insurance do I need?

    Comcast Local Programming requires Media Perils Insurance coverage for part and full time programmers. This coverage is outlined under item 15 in the contract, which you will receive after you initiate you fill out the form on this site.

    You can supply your insurance provider with the contract language so he/she can know what is required. We also offer a Summary of Insurance Requirements document you can use to ensure you get the correct coverage.

  • As a part time programmer, can I air more than once a week?

    You can air as many times as you have paid to air.  If you plan on buying a lot of time per week, we may need to require a feed for content delivery.

    If you pay by check for your airtime, please make sure it arrive at our facility BEFORE the due date to ensure there is no interruption in your programming.

  • How am I billed?

    For part-time programmers, you will be sent a monthly invoice once all paperwork is approved. Payment in advance is required by the first of every month if you want to remain on-air uninterrupted. You will be invoiced one month in advance every month unless you decide to cancel. This means, for example, on or near January 1, you will receive the invoice for February. The balance of this invoice will be due by February 1.

    For full-time programmers, you will receive your first invoice once all paperwork is approved. Full payment of this invoice is required before we initiate the installation of your content delivery system. After your programming goes to air, you will be invoiced one month in advance every month and payment will be due by the first. This means, for example, on or near January 1, you will receive the invoice for February. The balance of this invoice will be due by February 1.

    Cancellations must be received in writing at least 30 days before scheduled airtime.

  • Can I pay weekly?

    No. We only accept monthly payments in advance for recurring programs.

  • What happens if I do not pay, or if I make a late payment?

    If payment is not submitted prior to the first of the month, the program will not air. If your payment is late you risk losing your regular time period and your listings (if applicable) will be taken off the TV guide.

  • Where do I send my program for part time local insertion?

    We accept programs digitally through a Comcast approved file delivery service. After you've submitted your required paperwork, you will be supplied with login credentials and instructions on how to send your program.  You will need to be able to send a digital file via the internet. More information will be provided about show delivery after your payment has been received.

  • How do I submit content for my full-time channel?

    You will need to provide a content delivery solution to program your full-time channel. Before your first payment, you will need to send a detailed schematic of your plan for content delivery, which will then be approved by Comcast engineering. After your first payment has been received, you will work with Comcast engineering to install and test your content delivery system. This can take up to 90 days.
